Connect: God, People, Church                       Build: People, Church, City

Dear Church . . .

It is with great excitement that we launch Rise and Build 2008!

Building churches is proven as the best way to fulfil the great commission “to go and make disciples of all nations”, and as we stand together in faith and make our commitments to God we have seen and will continue to see the fruit of our generous giving.

Thank you so much for being part of building God’s House:  place that exists for our friends and family to connect with Jesus.

We are constantly in awe of your generosity.  Your faithfulness in giving and your love for this house has made C3Robina a great church.  As we progressPASTORS.jpg toward the vision of 500 members, we can and will make this happen by building our future together.

It’s time to Rise and Build again!

Ps Don and Adrienne Easton

How can I be part of Rise and Build 2008?

There are a number of ways you can partner in our Building Fund.

Ø      Give a cash gift.

Ø      Complete the commitment card a make regular weekly, fortnightly or monthly donations.  These donations can be given by using the envelopes provided, internet banking, eftpos or Giving Direct.  All these details are provided during our church services.  Monthly automatic credit card deductions can also be arranged.  Complete the correct sections on the commitment card.

Ø      Utilise our lender’s bank arrangements and become part of our Mutual Support Scheme.  This is where you deposit money long term and the interest earned automatically goes against the loan.

Ø      Donate an asset

Please feel free to speak to our Finance Manager (Jo Lockyer) for further assistance in any of the above.

How to decide on what I will commit for 2008?

Suggested steps for determining God’s will for your pledge/commitment:

  1. Pray.  Pray alone and if married pray with your spouse.  Ask God what you should give.
  2. Give yourself time.  Don’t rush into a decision.  Spend time listening to God.  Plan and discuss with family the ways to give.
  3. Complete a commitment card and hand in on the required day.
  4. Keep the amount you have pledged in plain sight and pray on it each day, ask God for different ways of giving, pray to be inventive.
  5. Remember regular amounts add up quickly and is rewarding.  See table below:

Weekly                       Monthly                       Annually

$5                               $22                             $260

$10                             $43                             $520

$20                             $86                             $1040

$40                             $173                           $2080

$100                           $433                           $5200

$385                           $1667                         $20,000

Testimonies

Andrew & Angie Coleman
"We were proud to contribute through the building fund to help build our church where it is today. We look forward to helping build the main building in the future.   Being part of the process of seeing a vision set and then realized taught us a lot."

Barry & Tess Stormonth
"Tess & I are happy to give to the Church Building Fund as we know by doing this we are helping to build a home where our children, grandchildren & future generations can connect with God and bring others on the Gold Coast to do the same."

Scriptures for this year:

1 Chronicles 29:10-16 David praised the LORD in the presence of the whole assembly, saying, "Praise be to you, O LORD, God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.
Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all.
"But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.
O LORD our God, as for all this abundance that we have provided for building you a temple for your Holy Name, it comes from your hand, and all of it belongs to you."

Isaiah 54:2 “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. (3) For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.”
